Australian leave law is genuinely complicated. Rules differ by state, employment type, award, and years of service. Most government resources are dense and hard to navigate. We built plain-English calculators that give you a specific number, not a formula to decode yourself.

Every calculator on this site cites the specific Act or section it relies on. If the law changes, the calculator changes.

How we keep it accurate

• All constants and formulas are tied to primary legislation (Fair Work Act 2009, state LSL Acts, ATO published figures).
• Reviewed for each financial year against ATO indexation and any Fair Work Commission determinations.
• Verified by Sarah Reid, CAHRI, a certified Australian HR practitioner with 12 years of Fair Work compliance experience.
• Tax-free caps and ETP rates are updated annually when the ATO publishes new figures.
